March 11, 2021, marked exactly one year since we helped produce the first virtual fundraiser of the pandemic. In a blog post last March, we shared how Portland Youth Philharmonic and gEvents, LLC shifted Meet the Musicians online in just 48 hours. It's definitely been a different planning experience this year as we prepare for the 2021 Meet the Musicians to go live this week.

Understanding Livestream Visual Design
As you plan your virtual event, your professional production partner will discuss building your show and creating the look for your livestream. During those discussions, you may hear unfamiliar terminology. Our guide defines livestream visual design elements and includes visual examples of each term.
Our House took us back to the '80s! From our awesome hosts Poison Waters and Dale Johannes to the rad set decor, OHTV was a totally excellent virtual fundraiser supporting the mission of Our House to help those in our community who are living with HIV and learning to thrive. (Production partners: Raise Agent; Artisan Auctions; Decor: Royce's Prop Shop)
O'Hara Catholic School in Eugene, Oregon, invited us on-location to livestream the annual auction. Co-hosts Matt Hogan and Tammy Conway engaged the virtual audience to chat, bid, and donate. And the community responded! The scholarship and teacher fund appeals brought in more than $100,000 combined.
SMART Reading shared the magic of books during a state-wide fundraiser. During the 10-hour livestream, Christine Pitawanich/KGW hosted a fun virtual read-a-thon, while co-host Laila Vickers, benefit auctioneer Graham Crow, and Executive Director Chris Otis joined the event live from the studio. (Production partner: Swaim Strategies)
Ahimsa House is celebrating 17 years of helping people and pets who are victims of domestic violence reach safety together. Hosted by Hailly Butler, the entirely virtual fundraiser featured personal stories, a live wine pull, and a competitive auction. (Production partner: Greater Giving)
