Throughout the month of June, SASJBEP has continued to meet with partners and stakeholders to increase awareness of our program and build program support.
Ryann Rossi, our Estuary Scientist met with ~ 15 students from University of Southern Alabama. They were visiting St. Andrew Bay and the El Dorado seagrass restoration project as a part of their Coastal Restoration Ecology course and learned about the importance of bridging science into management actions.
On June 24th, our team attended the South Gulf County Coastal Community Association Annual Meeting where ~60 citizens heard from Senator Corey Simon, Sheriff Mike, Darryl Boudreau - NWFWMD, Dannie Bolden - NPSJ Area Coalition, and our own SASJBEP Director.
The Bay Point Billfish Open is back and we are excited to be a part of it! Come see the weigh ins today (30th) and tomorrow (1st) 4-8 pm and stop by our tent to learn more about out program!
