The Institute of Halal Food Research (IPPH), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), has succeeded in marketing HaFYS Porcine DNA Detection Assay, a system to trace pig DNA, in the global market.IPPH researcher, Prof. Dr. Suhaimi Mustafa said the kit, invented in 2011, was licensed exclusively to DxNA LLC, a company in the USA for use on PCR GeneSTAT machines.
