On the Third Day - Easter Sermon Pastor Bill Lentz, Lehman Memorial UMC Hatboro PA

In the Bible's symbolic language, a three-day period signifies and points to an act of divine intervention that brings rescue and salvation.

4th Sunday of Easter - Abraham Unbinds Isaac

God Creates the Land

God created the land and made it possible for the land itself to co-create with God. Life turns to death turns to new life throughout the Bible and throughout our world. In his sermon on Sunday, Pastor Bill points out God's deeply embedded message — God will intervene to bring forth new creation from death, and bring hope and joy into the most distressing situations. The Bible is the decisive source of our Christian witness. In our theological journey, we study and reflect on the Bible, and ask the Holy Spirit to help us discern the original intention of the text and its meaning for our own faith and life. Read more about the authority of Scripture from the Book of Discipline, and deeply consider joining a Bible Study group at Lehman Church.
