New Beginnings

Spring has sprung here in Northern California and with that in mind I think about new beginnings. New beginnings can take many forms,  a new haircut (check) a 2 day cleanse (check) and a redesigned portfolio website (which I'm in the process of at the moment).

You can see what changes I have made here.

It's important to stay current with a portfolio website.  It may be the only first impression you get to make with a prospective client and you want it to be a good one!  So you can think of my website as a hardy handshake a big smile and most important of all (which I always tell my kids) honest eye contact!

#The100dayproject Continues....

Today is day 72 of The 100 Day Project!  It has been challenging, but I have been enjoying the process.  Pushing through those difficult renderings and deciding to post some of my worst work is probably the hardest part of this challenge.  When drawing a building there are perspectives to be considered, and more times than not, I get it wrong, but that's okay.  This is an exercise and I am learning new skills.  It's all good.

Here are 3 sketches from the last month I have completed.  The second sketch is Old St. Hilary's, which is where my husband and I were married 26 years ago.

Iowa 1837

Old St. Hilary's 1888 Tiburon, California

Milton, Mass 1837

Well, that's all for this month.  See you in May with news and updates! Thanks for reading!
