Persistence. It’s a rare treasure, and definitely worth its weight in gold. Some days we might have plenty to keep chasing our goals. Other days... not so much.

Today’s email is all about specific meal plans that help us to drop the pounds and keep them off AFTER the bariatric honeymoon period is over.

Plus they reduce the time and energy we spend on meal planning, which ultimately helps keep us sane, confident, and with more time to fit in exercise! 

I've tried meal planning apps and tracking my macros. I stick with it for a little while until it becomes impractical to spend an hour or more every day figuring it all out. Ad hoc meal planning is more my style. But I've gotten in trouble more than once with this approach -- and it shows on the scale!

The bottom line: WLS is only a tool and eating healthy meals on a consistent basis is mandatory in order to maintain our weight loss. But it's tough -- meal planning and preparation takes time. We all know we should do it—and we want to do it—but it’s not always easy to pull off in the real world.

Really, who has time for all that menu planning tracking macros preparing ingredient lists making shopping lists grocery shopping prepping and cooking?
