Difference Between a Assistant Manager and a Manager - Update 1

QUESTION

Dear all,

Usually in a larger organization, there are vast differences between an Assistant Manager and Manager role. However in a smaller organization of about 20 people, what really is the main difference between a Assistant and Managerial role since the 2 roles are doing the same job scope?

I agree that it does make difference between these 2 roles in larger organization.

From what I heard from you, although these 2 roles might be similar in job scope, Assistant Manager may be more to supporting rather than taking charge of responsibility.

On top of that I also do think that there might be slight differences in years of experience between these 2 roles in their career field.
