First and foremost thank you to everyone in the Congregation for your support in helping OUR church continue to flourish. You are appreciated and without you we would not be here.
Second I would like to personal thank the person who made a $10,000 monetary donation to be used to pay for Pulpit Supply Pastors that are coming out to do Sunday service 3x a month. This money is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you to Pastor Petitjean, Pastor Arnold, & Pastor Handrich for your service to Gift of Grace. Starting in June, Reverend Taylor will be coming out as a Pulpit Supply Pastor and will be part of the rotation.
Third if you are interested in the Financial Secretary’s position please let one of the council member know as Karla Simmons has agreed to stay on until a replacement is found. I would like to let everyone know that the Council has been working hard on the 6 month – 1 year goals. We have stared the healing process with those who were hurt but it will take time, patience, everyone involved to let go and move forward and most of all faith in God. The council is in the process of setting up a confirmation class but there is a stumbling block, working on the duties & responsibilities of the different committees & who the chairperson(s) are for each one.
One of the 6 month – 1 year goals is to find a qualified person(s) to take over the position as President and Treasurer as the currents President & Treasurer term is up at the end of January 2019. Please think & pray about stepping forward as the church needs someone like you who can bring your time & talents to the council, the church & to the congregation.
