Brrrr… I don’t know about you, but it is so cold here where I live! At night I sit in front of the fireplace, curled up with a good book (or my laptop if I have more writing to do!) and picture myself lying on the beach somewhere. What is the weather like where you live? Are you escaping it to go on a warm holiday? We just booked a vacation for April and I can’t wait!

Many of you have already read Once Upon a Duke’s Dream, which I released in November, but it seems to be resurging as a fan favorite! If you haven’t read it, it is a story of an evil stepbrother, espionage, and, of course, love. It currently has a 4.7 rating out of 5 on Amazon.

Here's an example of what reviewers are saying -- “The characters are well written and they pull you into the story. This book kept me turning the pages to find out what happened and will keep your interest until the end!”

I would also suggest you read it to get excited about my next release -- we are a few weeks away, but I’d like to introduce you to a little “manspiration,” as a few of my author friends call it. When writing, we often model our characters, particularly our heroes, off of men we know, either in our lives or who we see on the big screen. I have done this before for my novels, but this time, I am so excited because my hero is modeled off of none other than Chris Hemsworth, who I am secretly in love with ;) He will be acting in the role of Alastair Finchley, who is introduced in Once Upon a Duke’s Dream and will be our future hero! I hope you enjoy :)

And don’t forget! The Facebook contest for a $15 Amazon gift card is still ongoing. Head on over to my page to enter.

With love,

Love's Cure

By Emily Murdoch

Do you believe love is blind?

When Dr Gerald Anderson arrives at Sweet Grove, it’s hard not to be suspicious: after all, he was hounded out of his last practice last year in 1843, and he’s only accepted when trainee pastor Aaron Bryant accepts him.

The pastor’s sister Mariana, on the other hand, is not so sure. Left blind by the incompetence of a previous doctor, she’s got no kindness for medical men, and a determination to leave him in the cold.

But the warmth of Sweet Grove and its small community is hard to ignore, even when you want to withdraw from the world, and soon Gerald finds himself thrust into Mariana’s path.

Can she learn that healing may be needed on the inside as well as on the outside? And will Gerald’s past prevent healing that even he can’t perform?

This is the fourth in the Sweet Grove Beginnings series that explores just how the town of Sweet Grove was planted

Heart and Dagger

By Holland Rae

Lady Charlotte Talbot hasn’t seen Armand Rajaram de Bourbon, her oldest childhood friend and once betrothed, since his family returned to India when she was fifteen. Since then, she has left a groom at the altar, changed her name to Catalina Sol, opened a house for unwed mothers and orphans, and captained a ship, the Liberté, crewed by the best fighters in the Spanish Main. She’s no longer the lady he left behind, not that she’d admit to wishing he’d return.

When Armand’s brother is kidnapped, he breaks his rule of never engaging with pirates. But desperation drives him to the Liberté and a life he thought he’d left far behind. He’d do anything to save Henri, but Armand never expected to find Charlotte here, and now that’s he’s found her, he doesn’t have a clue what to do about it.

Together, they must face kidnapping, pirate captains, blackmail, and themselves. The Liberté may sail thousands of miles from the shores of England, but that might not be far enough to escape the past.
