Dear HR Professionals,
Need your advice if one of the male staff spouse had given birth. is there a practice that the Company have to send baby gift. Appreciate if you can share your Company policies.
Employee is eligible for gift of joy of S$100
Yes, my company will send a hamper worth about $100 - $160.
Yes, we give $200 NTUC voucher to the colleague
We send across Congratulatory hamper for all male and female employees for their newborns.
My company will still order a baby hamper no matter whether be it the staff is male or female, go along with the budget that we have.
Our company does not have such practice. However, for colleagues who are keen to chip in to share a gift. For some companies, they may have the benefit of giving a $100 angbao to the employee once they produce the birth Cert of the child.
Yes, we do provide such gift for a newborn of a female or male employee. The amount limit is $150 for executive level and below, $250 for the managerial level and above.
It will be good if your Company has a Baby Gift Policy as it is an occasion that is worth celebrating, be it female employee or male employee’s spouse.
