Probationary Employment Termination - Update 1 (Replies)
How many days notice period is required for termination under probation, if nothing is mentioned in the contract letter?
It should be 1 day.
If the contract is silent and the employee is covered under Employment Act, the notice period is minimum 1 day.
Follow the Employment Act or your company current practice.
It should be 24 hours if not mistaken.
As per MOM guidelines, the following applies:
If you and your employer did not previously agree on a notice period, the following applies:
Length of service - Notice period
Less than 26 weeks - 1 day
