Quest continue to support the charity Action for A-T. Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T) is a very complex condition that affects a variety of different systems in the body.

Throughout the year, Quest students hold fundraising events to raise money for the charity. This month, students have held a cake sale, a pub quiz and sold Krispy Kremes galore!

All of these efforts go a long way into both awareness and funds for the charity. We look forward to telling you how much we have raised by the end of this academic year.

Putting PR into practice

Our Professional Diploma students took part in an Apprentice style challenge for their Public Relations (PR) Day!

The students were asked to put their PR knowledge learnt in class into practice as they responded to a client PR brief.

Products designed for these clients ranged from Pets Pyjamas for the latest dog coats and accessories to the relaunch of Knorr flavour pots.

Creative ideas were flying and the students were asked to produce a mood board, press release and promotional advert to accompany these.

Lloyd's of London

Our PA students took a trip to the City this month to visit the famous Lloyd's of London building. The day was spent gaining a deeper understanding of the insurance industry in the hub for traders and brokers.

The PA's had the opportunity to see the whole of the building and listen to a presentation by one of the Insurance Brokers.

From the Lutine Bell in the underwriting room and the old log book that sits beneath it to the Adam Room which is a piece of 18th century splendour, historical highlights were well covered.

We have more trips planned for other groups of Quest students to tour this prestigious and bustling place.

SHOWBIE for the Students...

Quest Professional is using new e-learning technology  SHOWBIE for different units. This is available as an App on student's phones, iPads, computers at home or in the Quest classrooms.

SHOWBIE is known as the Paperless Classroom. It is a great way to share resources such as  posters, pictures and videos. Students can upload work and trainers can mark, add grades and track their progress.

So feel free to ask your son/daughter how they're using SHOWBIE today!

Congratulations are in order...

This month congratulations are in order for Emily Whittaker, Christina Bryer, Katharine Stansfeld, Felicity Pitman, Lily Showering, Emily Hadley, Katrina Morgan and Claudia Janssenswillen who have all recently secured new roles or opportunities to further their careers!

We are always very proud of our students who are regularly gaining new positions and promotions in the work place.

Please remember that if you would like any help or advice in terms of moving roles, then do get in touch with our Student and Alumni Consultant Emma Colville.
