November 2017 Update from Author Lynnette Bonner

How many of you know that no matter how many times you test something, things can still go wrong? :) I sincerely apologize for this 2nd message, but due to conflicting technologies, the links to my preorder in yesterdays email were all broken. For those who are interested, the correct link to the preorder is here: On Eagles' Wings

My Life this Month...

I'm walking!

I still have to wear the big boot of shame, but I can't tell you how nice it has been to get out and do some walking in the beautiful autumn sunshine.

This month a long-time friend who lives in Kansas came to visit me. It was so wonderful to see her after many years apart. A couple hours from me, up in the mountains of Washington, is a small German town called Leavenworth. It was lovely to drive up there with my hubby, daughter, and friend. We bought licorice fudge (so delicious!), apple-wood smoked cheddar (again, yum!), apple-wood smoked blue cheese, and also a beautiful box full of Honeycrisp apples. It was a wonderful day!

I only had my phone, but here are a couple a pictures of the lovely fall colors.

What have you done this autumn? I'd love to hear from you!

Story World...

Tada! That is the cover for my newest book coming on December 1st! What do you think?

On Eagles' Wings is now available for pre-order! It releases on December 1st. The pre-order price is just $2.99. The price will go up to the regular amount of $4.99 on release day. You can get your copy via Amazon here.

Take the next stagecoach to Wyldhaven,
where the coffee's perked hot,
the sheriff likes his apple pie fresh from the oven,
and adventure invariably waits just around the next river bend.

Boardinghouse owner Dixie Pottinger has done her best to avoid the attractive Dr. Griffin. But now that her mother-in-law is sick and he’s going to be coming around more to care for her, Dixie knows she must inform him about her past. She works up her courage and feels great relief when she finally tells Dr. Griffin that she’s a married woman…maybe…if her husband, Steven Pottinger, survived the bullet put into him before she fled.

Dr. Flynn Griffin can’t believe he’s been having feelings for a married woman! His honor requires that he immediately put those feelings to rest. As for the man who had abused Dixie so badly that she retreated into hiding… If he was still alive, he better never show up in Wyldhaven, because Flynn had plenty of ideas on how to teach the man lessons in gentlemanly conduct.

Little does Flynn know that Steven Pottinger is about to become his patient. Gravely injured by an accidental gunshot, Steven lies on the brink of eternity. Never in all his life has Flynn been tempted to break his Hippocratic Oath.

Until now.

From My Heart...

Each month when I write this section I pray about what to include. This month as I asked the Lord what I should put here, I was impressed to share this prayer request with you.

One of my very best pals has been fighting cancer for several years now. She is a teacher, a compassionate-but-brook-no-nonsense grandmother, a loving wife and mother, and an awesome friend.

She doesn't know I'm doing this, so I won't tell you her name. But you don't need to know it. God knows her intimately and loves her immensely. (Who couldn't love all that craziness? ;) Go Hawks!)

She recently got report that she's going to have to start radiation on another tumor. It is near her spine, so that adds to the complications. I don't know why God asks some of us to go through so much in this life. But my friend has borne up under the trial of this with an amazing, upbeat, and faith-filled attitude.

Will you pray with me for her? I'm asking God to make this the last battle. Enough cancer. That it be gone, in Jesus' name.

Thank you for your prayers.
