Introducing the first and only fully accessible holiday let in Keswick, Sam’s Cottage…

Set back in a quiet courtyard, this two bedroom bungalow sleeps 2-3 people and is ideally positioned for all the town centre has to offer, complete with one allocated parking space. There is a cinema, shops, bars and restaurants all within 100 meters of the front door.

Sam’s cottage was inspired by the owners 16 year old nephew Sam.  Sam suffers from cerebral palsy and has limited accessibility and therefore an accessible holiday let is a must for Sam.  With no accessible holiday lets in Keswick we (the owners) had to build our own and are so pleased to be able to offer Sam’s Cottage to people with all types of disabilities not just wheelchair users.  Whether it’s a mental or physical disability it’s a perfect facility to enjoy everything Keswick has to offer.

Village Of The Month - Seatoller

Seatoller is 7 miles from Keswick with commanding views of the Borrowdale Fells. Located at the foot of the Honister Pass it is surrounded by fells, rich pastureland and ancient deciduous woodland many of which are designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

There is a National Trust car park in Seatoller which is an excellent starting point for walks such as Castle Crag.

A scenic walk 5-mile walk that takes you to the summit of the smallest of Wainwright's fells.

This route follows the terrace path above the lovely Borrowdale Valley. A short diversion takes you up to Castle Crag via a short but fairly steep zigzag path of loose slate. The route drops through the Jaws of Borrowdale down to the River Derwent below and follows the riverside path back to the hamlet of Seatoller.
