A word from the Principal

Looking back over the past seventeen weeks since I became Principal at Quest, I am struck by the range of activities that have taken place and the high standards our students have reached. Even though the major focus of this term has been on job applications and work experience, there has still been time for participation in external visits and some exciting extra-curricular activities.  I am also impressed by the success of charity events that have been initiated and delivered by the students this term.

As the academic year draws to a close, I’d like to wish students every success in their upcoming work placements and for their future careers. Remember the Quest team is here to provide you with ongoing support as you take your first steps into the world of work and beyond.

For those of you who are graduating this month, I look forward to seeing you on 29th June.

Spreading the Quest word

With A Level results looming our Principal, Claire Granados, gave her advice to School House Magazine on what to do if your child doesn’t have a place at university this year, and the key skills that will give them the edge over their university peers. Independent Education Today also discuss her suggestions on improving schools' careers advice and the vital skills young people need for the world of work.

Trips and Events

Charity Event

Congratulations to our PDs for putting together an incredibly successful charity event. Their cocktail and canape event included an auction and was held at Beaufort House in Chelsea. Together they raised more than £10,000 in aid of Action for A-T

Visit to Ralph Lauren

Our BA boys were lucky enough to visit to the beautiful Ralph Lauren Flagship store in New Bond Street. Their visit included having a personal tour and styling session with their menswear manager. Now the students will be suited and booted for the office!

Dragons' Den

Our students are continually exposed to real-life situations that prepare them for the workplace. The students pictured here had to develop a business plan and then pitch their ideas for potential investment in front of a panel of judges just like the infamous television programme Dragons' Den.

Recruitment Fair

This month we invited a number of London's leading recruitment agencies to come and meet our students. The recruitment fair was a great success and we got positive feedback from both agencies and students alike!

Career Fairs

June has been a busy month travelling to a number of schools in and around London to promote Quest, including:

  • Hurtwood House - Dorking
  • Epsom College - Epsom
  • Kings Bruton - Bruton
  • Thetford Academy - Norfolk
  • Uppingham School - Uppingham
  • Bradfield College - Reading
  • Rugby School - Rugby

Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming events!

If you are interested in Quest Professional visiting your school/careers fair, or want to find out the services we can offer then please get in touch.

Work Experience

From 18th-29th June, students on the Business Apprentice and Professional Diploma programmes completed a two week placement in their preferred choice of industry sector. This two week placement gives the students the perfect opportunity to put the skills they have learnt into practice and gain exposure of an office environment. As with all work experience, students need to make the best possible impression and the options are endless!

Job Successes

We love helping our students discover what is next and we would like to congratulate the following students for securing new positions: Anna Chambers, Lucy Kellock, Georgie Armstrong, Molly Rees, Jack Graham, Sophie Mcfall, George Berry, Alexandra Bentham, Fergus Previte, Zak Thompson, Olivia Spurrier, Phoebe Poulter, Hebe Williams. We are very proud of all of you!

For any of you still needing help, remember both of our fabulous Consultants, Emma and Alice, are always here to support you, even years after leaving Quest.
