We're back, Ontario!!!

Hi !

It has been an exciting few months for us! For those of you following along from Alberta, we apologize for not being as regular as we had intended with our updates. We are back on track now!

Our lives have changed quite dramatically over the past little while! Our family has grown by one and we moved our farm and livestock 3500 kilometers across the country!!

We are excited for our new endeavors in Spencerville, but realize that new beginnings inevitably create bittersweet endings and goodbyes.  We will always carry with us memories from our time in Winfield.

This is what our home looks like now! It's a bit different from what we were used to!!

With all the changes we have made, some things still stay the same: it's spring and we've got a greenhouse full of seedlings and a barn full of chickens and sheep about to have lambs!

All of our animals survived the trek across the country just fine. The sheep have settled in and will be having lambs soon, the dogs are learning their new pasture boundaries and the cats are helping us manage some mouse issues (they really don't mind the work).

Our families played a huge role in helping us get settled into our new home. We worked together to renovate parts of the house and set up the greenhouse and barns for production. Having so much support was/is amazing and really fast-tracked the moving-in process. We are not 100% finished every single project...but we will get to them as time allows. Spring waits for nobody and we've all got to eat!

Our plans for the upcoming season include growing lots and lots of food!

Veggies! Eggs! Lamb! Possibly a few chickens!

Our main focus for 2018 will be certified organic veggies and vegetable seedlings. We will grow some cut flowers as well, but not as many varieties as last year.

That's all for now folks! Thanks for tuning in!

The next newsletter will have much more greenery and probably a lamb or two! We love lambing time and end up with quite an assortment of lamb photos every year...they're just not something we seem to ever get tired of!

If you're just starting to receive our farm updates, don't hesitate to contact us with questions or requests.

Our CSA Program (weekly veggie box subscription) still open for registrations with a few spots left.

Our farm store with fresh organic veggies and vegetable seedlings for your home garden will be open on May 1st!

Thanks for supporting local!
