Won TechCrunch Shenzhen 2017

I participated in the TechCrunch Shenzhen Hackathon and Conference this summer, one of the best tech conferences in Asia-Pacific. My team and I created a P2P bike rental solution using Mobike API and DianRong's BlockChain Service. We won 3rd place at the hackathon. I also learned a lot about some of the most cutting-edge trends in tech and start up from well-known professionals at the conference.

China Tech Tours

I visited many tech companies and start-ups in Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, and Shenzhen, such as AliCloud, AWS startup day, Makeblock, Huawei Factory, Tecent, Horizons, Robotics, and more. The startup scene and amount and speed of innovations really impressed me.

Successfully Organized hack.init() Hacakthon

From February to July, I have been working on organizing China's largest youth hackathon -- hack.init(); We brought 300 bright makers around China to Shanghai for 24 hours, with top resources and support. They had created some amazing projects, and it was many's first time having the opportunity to build projects in such environment. I am really glad to be part of this great initiative and learned a lot about organizing events and China's tech scenes.

MIT Launch Summer 2017

I participated in MIT Launch Summer this July, a 4-week long program for high-school entrepreneurs at MIT. Throughout this program, I learned a lot about business and disciplined entrepreneurs through lectures and creating my own start-ups with other students, as well as got to know other high school entrepreneurs. It was an intense but rewarding experience and certainly helped me to prepare for the tech innovation world better.

Won Cipher Bonfire Hackathon

I participated in Cipher Bonfire, a 24 hour hackathon in Brampton, ON. I was a mentor/hacker guru and led two other less experienced hackers to create a hack that analyzes your business information to suggest ideal location to open your business in Brampton through data analysis. We won the best use of Brampton Open data prize.
