COMMITTEE MESSAGE

Winter Edition 2017

Quickly, another year gone by. What are your successes? What are your goals for the coming year?

We recently reflected on our achievements this year and we'll like to share them with you. Through the many events and outreach networking efforts, we increased membership by 42% and have 5 new members. Our new Mentoring program have seen 4 successful matches. Next year, we'll share some personal stories between the mentors and the mentees.

For 2018, through our collaboration with WSHEF, we are excited to share that we have a good budget and we're planning for more professional development opportunities and fun gatherings. Look out for those in the next newsletter.

With that, we thank each and everyone that we have met this year and being part of our close-knit committee here in the Pacific Northwest. Have a happy holiday and see you in the new year!

PAST EVENTS / MEETINGS HIGHLIGHTS

A few of our AHLF members have participated in events last quarter either as speakers or moderators and we are so proud of them - Wendy Zheng and Emily Yu.

Emily Yu moderating at the WSHEF Annual Breaking Meeting panel in October on Consumer Focused Healthcare

The Loft9, WSHEF, and AHLF panel discussion on diversity and inclusion in healthcare focused on how health systems can adopt to our changing diverse patient and staff populations. Great job Wendy Zheng.

Thank you Chris Phan for opening your house this year for the annual holiday pot luck. Great food, lots of laughter, what fun we had. This is what we are about, building community and relationships.
